We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing practice and to utilize their medical training.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Physician Supervisor, apply the principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide comprehensive occupational and urgent care medical services. Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries. Work closely with administration to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care. Evaluate medical procedures and everyday situations and recommend ways to improve delivery of service and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical treatment of work-related and urgent care illnesses and injuries; limited within the training or experience of the Physician Assistant, customary to the practice of the supervising Physician, and delegated by the supervising Physician.
- Chart all patient transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work with and communicate with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for the delivery of high quality medical treatment and quality customer service.
- Assist management in identifying, analyzing, and resolving work problems.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing clinical methods, procedures, and recommend improvements.
- Comply with applicable regulations and with Corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintain quality assurance for all medical issues and assist in the solution of any medical problems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Communicate staff suggestions and/or complains to Medical Director.
- Assist clinical staff in understanding and complying with policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of medical practices
related to occupational health, including the diagnosis and treatment of
work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Familiarity with applicable medical
policies, state and federal regulations (including OSHA and FMCSA), and
clinical procedures.
- Proficient in the use of medical equipment
and ability to follow clinical protocols and instructions accurately.
- Strong documentation skills, including the
ability to maintain accurate records, write detailed reports, and respond
effectively to correspondence.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen
attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective interpersonal and communication
skills for interacting with patients, coworkers, and stakeholders in a
clinical setting.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician
Assistant program.
Certification & Licensure:
- Current certification by the National
Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Active, unrestricted Physician
Assistant license in the state of employment.
- NRCME certification (National Registry of Certified
Medical Examiners) required or ability to obtain upon hire.
Experience:
- Prior clinical experience in Occupational
Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine,
or General Practice preferred.
